Geneva Beach Resort is on the site of the oldest resort north of the Twin Cities. History shows that this has been the site of quite a grand hotel vacation destination. People would travel by rail from all over the Midwest, bring their servants, and stay for a month or more at a time.
The first Geneva Hotel was built in the 1800's and there have been 3 large hotels built on the site due to fires, etc. In the 1970's, the final hotel was torn down and some of the land sold. Our resort now includes restored cabins from the 20's and 40's, and three new lodges.
We are a family resort, and we look
forward to meeting the new families that may start a tradition
of staying at Geneva Beach Resort. We are located just down the
beach from the Geneva Golf Club, and we are right on the Central
Lakes Trail.
We are only two miles from historic downtown Alexandria, where you will
find many fine gifts and antique shops. We extend our personal invitation
