Geneva Beach Resort was established in 1883, and is one of the oldest resorts north of the Twin Cities. History shows that we have been a grand resort vacation destination ever since, with people traveling from all over the Midwest and beyond to enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Geneva. The beautiful grounds, sandy beach, unique lodging options, and the lure of the bass and walleye are all reasons that Geneva Beach has been a favorite vacation destination for families and fishermen.
Our resort features historic and recently renovated lodging options that are up to date, with all of the comforts that vacationers expect. Cabins are equipped with amenities that make your vacation comfortable, so that you can relax and enjoy your time with your family or friends. Downtown Historic Alexandria is only two miles away, making it easy to pick up extra groceries and bait, and if you don't feel like cooking, there are delicious dining options minutes away. The famous Alexandria Chain of Lakes is very unique, and enables boaters to travel between several lakes by channel. You can boat to three lakeside restaurants, and enjoy many miles of Minnesota lake shore beauty.
Our family fell in love with Geneva Beach Resort in Alexandria, MN 30 years ago, and we have enjoyed our "week at the cabin" every summer since. Some of our most cherished memories are from the resort -- exchanging fishing stories around the bonfire, our kids' sleepovers with cousins in the cabins, sunny days spent on the water, that first cup of coffee down by the lake...
We love it so much, in fact, that we decided to buy the resort and move to Alexandria this summer. Spending more time in the area, we continue to be amazed with all Alex has to offer -- delicious dining, unique stores & day-trip destinations, and, of course, the magnificent lakes.
We have enjoyed meeting all of the families who choose Geneva Beach for their summer vacation destination. We feel fortunate to call Geneva Beach home and look forward to the opportunity to share it with you.
We are located just down the beach from the Geneva Golf Club, and we are right on the Central Lakes Trail.
